Update on Collared by The Dragon Hybrid
Thank you to everyone who has been supportive and expressed interest in Collared by the Dragon Hybrid.
Some of you may have noticed that it was initially scheduled to be published in February of this year, only to be pushed back. But even after the changed date, it is still unpublished. ARCs were planned to be sent out, but never were. I am here to address that.
Unfortunately, due to some unforeseen issues with this project, I have finally decided to put off the release of this book for the time being. I am not scrapping it, but I do want to make sure I give this book the time it needs to breathe until I can fix some of its issues. I absolutely do not want to rush its publication simply for the sake of getting it out there.
After months of agonizing over some of its content, I have realized that it just isn’t ready yet to be put out into the world. With how many serious topics it delves into, I want to be careful about how I portray each of them. The last thing I would want is to harm anyone with representation that falls flat or plays into damaging stereotypes.
It has been particularly difficult to acknowledge that it isn’t ready yet for public consumption because this was the book that motivated me to begin this romance journey in the first place. Eden Eldritch would not exist without this story. For this reason, among others, it is incredibly dear to my heart. But I think that is even more motivation to wait until it has been polished and refined.
I would like to apologize to anyone who was looking forward to its release this year, and for how long it has taken me to release this update.
This has been a very challenging decision to make, and I regretfully waited too long to make any kind of announcement due to shame and anxiety. But as much as I wish I had a different update, this one is what rings true.
All of that being said, thank you all for your patience. I still have so much to learn, as I am a very new author who has very recently embarked on my author journey. I must admit that I jumped headfirst into this world before I had a solid grasp on exactly how much time it takes to go through every step as a newly starting author. I had not anticipated how many aspects I would have to do virtually on my own, and didn’t realize the amount of moving parts that go into self-publication.
However, I hope you all know that I am hard at work and planning to release a different title (aside from Hybrids in Love book one) in 2026. I would like to officially announce my new debut: Bark for Me.
While I have teased this book a few times on Threads over the past few months, I will be coming out soon with more information about it. What I can tell you now is that it is a dark bully romance with high spice and even higher tension.
I hope you’ll stick around to see it!
With Love,
Eden Eldritch
